Safety Cases
In many countries it is a legal requirement for operators of offshore installations to produce a Safety Case (or a Health and Safety Document).
This document is designed to demonstrate that the hazards to the installation and its personnel have been considered and that there are sufficient safeguards in place to reduce the risks to acceptable levels.
