It is a legal requirement for operators of Nuclear Licensed Sites to produce a safety case that demonstrates that the risks associated with each licensed site’s activities are suitably controlled, tolerable and ALARP. Vectra has extensive experience in the preparation and production of the suites of Safety Cases that underpin the operation of nuclear plants throughout their life cycle, from initial conception, through detailed design, commissioning and operation to decontamination, final decommissioning and demolition.
When considering fault scenarios associated with a nuclear installation, these Safety Cases are based on the identification and assessment of the hazards associated with the nuclear plant’s operations and processes. Using accepted hazard identification and risk assessment techniques, Vectra also has experience in the identification and assessment of the hazards associated with nuclear plant operations and processes.
